After six successful years of Superstudio as a national competition, the Student Organised Network of Architecture (SONA) is pleased to announce that Superstudio will be hosted by the University of Sydney on Friday 3rd –Saturday 4th August 2012.

This annual event is an intense 24 hour design competition between groups of three from USYD, UNSW, UTS, University of Newcastle and the University of Canberra. We are excited to announce the creative directors for 2012 to be award winning Australian firm Ashton Raggat McDougall (ARM)! This year’s brief will focus on architecture beyond building, as a collaborative process to provide experiential escape.
The competition will kick off with presentations by Superstudio Creative Director Mark Raggatt from ARM and the judging panel will be led by Matt Pullinger (NSW Chapter President).

Once again we are excited that the national winner of the event will receive flights to the Venice Architecture Biennale, the world’s most prestigious showcase of international architecture. NSW has won this event twice, in 2008 and 2011, so lets retain the title for a third national win this year!
