Repowering Sydney is an Urban Design and Architecture exhibition exploring the means of alternative electric power generation for the Central Business District. Electricity is the trigger for promoting urban growth and density, revitalizing the urban landscape, engaging a multidisciplinary range of factors from political to economic and from cultural to environmental. Integrated decentralized networks utilize piezoelectric technology, energy from waste, hydropower and solar energy to develop urban design strategies maintaining, retrofitting and integrating existing conditions providing new centres for electricity
production on-site.

This exhibition is a display of work from UTS Master of Architecture students in the studio ‘Repowering Cities [Sydney Case Study]‘
with studio instructor, Elena Vanz.
