The University of Technology, Sydney (UTS) announced last week that it will build a Frank Gehry icon as part of its City Campus Master Plan.

In a great week for UTS and the Campus master plan, The Gehry project for the New School of Business at the Dairy Farmers site in Ultimo welcomed a $25 Million gift from Chinese business leader Dr Chau Chak Wing. “Dr Chau has donated a total of $25 million to UTS: $20 million to support the new business Building designed by Frank Gehry, and an additional $5 million to create an endowment fund for student scholarships.” (Source http://www.business21c.com.au/2010/06/frank-gehry-concept-design-is-approved)

An additional $50 Million was awarded by the federal government for the new DCM designed Faculty of Engineering and IT Building on Broadway.
