First year, Bachelor of Design in Architecture, Assessment 02: Specific conditions discovered through the process of diagramming a building precedent were translated and redefined into the design and construction of a “machine,” assembled from specified materials (both as a surface or skin and as a connecting element) and located within a defined boundary. The objective of the machine was to take, and expand on, specific components of the building precedent and use it as a concept for the development of a spatial construction that interfaced with the human body in a precise and calibrated manner.
